This car (4" x 2") was digitized and then machined out of a solid aluminum block using a 3/16" ball end mill. The lateral scan increment was 0.020" with a total of 10 passes to the final depth of 0.75". The program length was about 10,000 lines of G-Codes. With 10 passes this amounted to 100,000 lines of code executed with a total machining time of 8 hours. The finishing pass was not performed as evident by the rough appearance.
